Last week, I published an investigation in the Atlantic magazinethat revealed a series of egregious human rights abuses--including the torture of detainees and a mass murder--carried out by a key US ally in Kandahar named General Abdul Raziq. The article has been circulated widely and I'm hoping that it will lead to increased attention to the issue of human rights in Afghanistan.
